Just arrived in Chennai after a 40 hour train ride from Varanasi. The past three weeks we’ve been recording local musicians throughout Nepal and India and have had some magic moments – charged by a rhino during a recording, paragliding in Pokhara with some eagles and recording at Chetsing Palace on the Ganges River. I’m hoping to get enough time to upload some of the recordings in the next few days.

This is my 3D version of the 02R studio at SAE Byron Bay. This was the first studio that I modeled, so i’ve given it an antique finish. Like the other studios everything is exactly to scale as they are carefully built off tape measure measurements. Later textured with materials and photos and rendered out using vray. Below is the Mackie DXB studio at SAE Byron Bay which was my second studio.

Made this track recently with Makuak Rai (lead singing), Vanessa Baker (singing), Stuart Currie (trombone/backing vox) & Sonia Leeson (backing vox). Sampled ‘it’s love’ by Jill Scott (mainly for the intro/outro). Programmed parts made in Ableton Live, Reason, Protools and Serato.
