Victoria Street soundscape
Last week I got down to the Broadcast Workshop and tested out the Nagra VI and Nagra LB recorders – amazing machines. I haven’t been able to find many recordings on the Nagra VI so I thought it’d be good to post a couple…
Here’s a 320kbps snip of the Nagra VI with a DPA 4017 Shotgun Microphone (in mono of course)

No commentsMonks in Lumbini
On our trip through Nepal we visited the Mayadevi Temple in Nepal where a marker stone proclaims “the Exact Birthplace of Buddha”. Just outside the temple Greg Simmons and I recorded two monks reciting prayers.

Recording through Nepal and India
Just arrived in Chennai after a 40 hour train ride from Varanasi. The past three weeks we’ve been recording local musicians throughout Nepal and India and have had some magic moments – charged by a rhino during a recording, paragliding in Pokhara with some eagles and recording at Chetsing Palace on the Ganges River. I’m hoping to get enough time to upload some of the recordings in the next few days.

Here’s my 02R studio 3d model. Because its the first studio i modeled, it gets an antique finish. Like the other studios everything is to scale and built using a tape measure in the actual studio.
No commentsSSL G almost built
